Live Webinar "Mt. Etna"

Offered through Schola Humanistica

Mt. Etna, the tallest active volcano in Europe, has inspired writers and poets from around the world over the centuries. In the “Mt. Etna” webinar we will examine how well known authors from antiquity to the 1500s have written about this topic in the Latin language. Each session will center on analysis and discussion of important passages of literary and historical merit in both poetry and prose. As a result, participants will have an opportunity to deepen their exposure to technical Latin texts, to read authors known almost exclusively to specialists, and to experience the genuine communicative method developed by Schola Humanistica.
